Hi there,
Does anyone know of an artist--possibly a folk artist--in Detroit by the name of Gruyan or Guyan, who exhibits his art in his yard and possibly in his neighborhood?
I%26#39;m going to be visiting Detroit in the next week and someone told me to try to see this artist%26#39;s home and street. They thought the street might be Mt. Elliot near Gratiot. I%26#39;m not certain where any of this is.
Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks.

It%26#39;s the Heidelberg Project. Check www.heidelberg.org.
Detroit artist and his neighborhood
citylights pointed you in the right direction, pinksoda.
My personal impression is the ';installation'; will speak to you in a far different way here at the end of a miserable winter season; than if you visit it in summer.
I hope your stay in Detroit is pleasant.
Thanks so much. I think this is it!
That is it. It’s on Heidelberg Street off of Mt. Elliot on the east side of the city. Go in the afternoon and just make sure to be aware of you surroundings as it is not in the best neighborhood. I worked in that area for over 10 years and have never had an issue on Heidelberg but just wanted you to be aware.
It is “interesting” to see so it’s worth a stop IMO. I go by there all the time since the exhibit changes from time to time.
Kilarney,
Thanks for the advice. I will try to see it.
