Good Airport Area Restaurants?

We%26#39;re staying overnight at the Airport Westin the night before our flight. Friends of ours are staying at the Quality Suites nearby. Are there any good restaurants (not fast food/chains) in the area where we could meet up? If not, we%26#39;ll just encourage them to meet us at the restaurant in the Westin. We%26#39;ve stayed/eaten there before and it%26#39;s very good.

There isn%26#39;t very much in the immediate area of the airport (you could try Leonardo%26#39;s (Italian) on Merriman Road just north of I-96, but both Ann Arbor and Dearborn are within a reasonable driving distance and are options as you are spending the night. Both have a number of restaurants; Ann Arbor has a better selection than Dearborn but is a bit farther away.

Not sure what your tastes are, but, when in a similar situation, we were happy with Amani%26#39;s in Dearborn. Decent-quality Mid-Eastern food and a broad enough menu that children or less adventerous eaters could find something:

if you dont mind a 15 minute drive, Weber%26#39;s Inn is very nice.. near Ann Arbor...

Ristorante Ciao is good... on Michigan Avenue in Dearborn.

Want fabbo bar hamburgers? Try Millers, also on Michigan, but farther up, closer to telegraph.

Also, other Italian places - Moro%26#39;s in Allen Park... Cariera%26#39;s on Telegraph in Dearborn Heights ...

There is a branch of the Blue Nile Ethiopian food in Trenton - that wouldn%26#39;t be far.

Black Pine Tree Sushi Bar on Eureka in Southgate...

Richter%26#39;s Chalet in Dearborn for German - haven%26#39;t been in a long time, tho%26#39;

Ollie%26#39;s on Ford Road (east of Southfield) for Middle Eastern... (Dearborn)

Annam for Vietnamese food ... also Dearborn..

If I can think of more I will post back.
