I don%26#39;t do rental cars and travel by myself. I live in California. How would I get to the island or Mackinac City and what city would I come throughl

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Planning to visit in July, July.

I%26#39;m sure others will have additional suggestions, but last year my wife%26#39;s family flew to Pellston, MI via Detroit and took a shuttle to Mackinaw City where they caught the ferry to the island.
