Detroit Metro to Casino Windsor

Aside from renting a car, is there transportation from Detroit Metro Airport to Windsor (we%26#39;re staying at Casino Windsor). Due to the length of our stay, a rental car will cost about $300.

Rent the car. I don%26#39;t know of any shuttle and I know taxis would be high especially with the potential wait time at the border. Remember your passport.

Yes, there is a shuttle bus service called RobertQ. Website is www.robertq.com. I think that its only stop in Windsor is at the Holiday Inn Select which is near the Ambassador Bridge. From there, you could taxi to Casino Windsor or wherever you are staying. Distance is probably about 2 miles.

When is your trip? Be aware that the documentation required for the land border crossing changes June 1. A drivers license and birth certificate no longer will be acceptable. Best doc is a passport or the new passport card. A trusted traveler card also is acceptable now and in the future and, I think, certain secure drivers licenses issued by a few border states also will be OK, but you would be prudent to check with US Customs and Border Protection.

Rent a car through hotwire.com. Assuming you are a US citizen/resident, there will be no problem taking it to Windsor. Just tell the agent you plan to do so when you pick up the car.

Alternately you could take a cab or shuttle from DTW to downtown Detroit, Ren Cen area. From there you%26#39;d take a tunnel bus across to Windsor. That bus will do a loop around downtown Windsor, including to the Casino hotel.
