There also is a March 2 review here on Trip Advisor. I ate there in December, but only for after work drinks and appetizer at the bar. Appetizer for 2 came to $22; it was very good and also very small! We laughed when it arrived, as it would have been a nice (but even then somewhat on the small side) appetizer for one.

Wine was good and bartender was attentive without being fawning and also was accommodating to our final ';half-glass'; request. All in all, it was a great experience and we would go back. Roast is a wonderful addition to downtown Detroit.

Lol, the review from Mar 2nd was mine! We just stayed there this last weekend. Roast is a very good restaurant. I think that they may end up being at the top of the heap in Detroit after they are open for a while. There are a few things that they need to work out.

Not sure if I mentioned this in the review or not, but we should have made a reservation. We didn%26#39;t have one and were offered the community table or the bar, even though there were plenty of empty tables around us.
