romantic weekend in the area - suggestions?

My husband and I want a romantic weekend in the Detroit area, but are not sure where to stay. We%26#39;re looking for a hotel that is somewhat upscale with a pool, hot tub, fine dining, dancing, and room service.

I would appreciate any suggestions that you have.

I don%26#39;t know how much you%26#39;re looking to spend, or your age range, but I%26#39;d suggest you look into the MGM Grand - Detroit. I%26#39;d say it%26#39;s very upscale and it has all the things you are seeking in your post.

does the MGM Grand have a pool?

According to their website, the MGM Grand in Detroit has an indoor pool, spa and fitness center.

If you want a romantic dinner, I%26#39;d highly recommend the Whitney. Amazing atmosphere and great food, although a bit pricey. It%26#39;s a short drive from MGM Grand.

What about the new Book Cadilac? They have a pool, fine dining, ect. Obviously I haven%26#39;t satyed there because its brand new, but its getting rave reviews. They have a special right now where you pay full price for the first night and $19.24 for the second night. It may be worth checking out.

MGM Detroit is the way to go...they have a promo right now, I didn%26#39;t want to post it yet, until I book myself! Going to stay this weekend hopefully

But if you type in ARROW you get a deep discount. A regular room goes for $299 everyday, with the code its $225

There is a Hyatt in Dearborn, haven%26#39;t stayed there but Hyatts are usually pretty nice....

Stayed at the Ren Cen Marriott twice, first time I liked it, second time I didn%26#39;t. Better location than the MGM Grand, but not as nice. If you don%26#39;t mind driving or catching a cab to hotspots like Woodward or Greektown, MGM would be great.

Have fun!
