Kind of new to the area and looking for a romantic evening for my 8th wedding anniversary. Any suggestions around Lansing / East Lansing?

First thing that came to mind. We sure liked this place when my son was at MSU. It would be great an anniversary. Drive over and check it out first maybe... anyway its a suggestion. I%26#39;m sure the locals may have some others!

Dusty%26#39;s Wine Bar (in Okemos just past Meridian Mall) is my personal favorite in the area for this kind of evening. It has a nice atmosphere, delicious food, and a fantastic wine list. The Knight Cap in Lansing is supposed to be very romantic and tasty, but I still have not been there. Beggar%26#39;s Banquet in East Lansing is wonderful, as well, but can sometimes be crowded with students (especially one ';wine Wednesdays,'; a weekly event which entices students with half off wine specials). Another option is Troppo in Lansing. Happy Anniversary!

Here are a few of my favorites:

Red Cedar Grill in Williamston. A nice menu with an upscale atmosphere.

Still Water Grill in Okemos. Similar to Red Cedar Grill but feels a bit more like a chain.

English Inn in Eaton Rapids. Now this is romantic! More formal than the other two but beautiful. Offers a bed and breakfast as well. Nice wine list.
