We are considering the Thanksgiving holiday (the 4 days) in Ann Arbor... no family there but just to take the chance to visit the city and relax a bit.
Any suggestions of restaurant for Thanksgiving lunch/dinner?
Also, we have a 4-years old boy. besides the hands-on museum, any other suggestion of places he would like?

My kids enjoy the Museum at the University of Michigan. It is a bit old-fashioned with diaramas but it is very good. As for dining on Thanksgiving, you might take a look at Weber%26#39;s Inn. I understand its food is not as stellar as it once was but I am sure they will be doing something nice for Thanksgiving. If you want to take a half-hour drive south to Dundee, my kids absolutely love Cabelas. Yes, it is a store but it has a neat mini-aquarium and a ';shooting range';- really more like a game at a carnival. The display in the middle is very popular with kids as well.

He%26#39;ll have a blast at the Hands On Museum. The Exhibit Museum at the UM has dinosaur skeletons if your son likes dinos - also a planetarium show, although you should double-check to make sure they%26#39;re doing shows over the holiday weekend. The temporary exhibit right now is about particle physics and the LHC, I haven%26#39;t been up there to know if it has much to interest a 4 year old.
If the weather turns bad and he needs to blow off steam, you can go to Jungle Java - one of those indoor playgrounds (free admission for parents). There%26#39;s also a small indoor play area for free at Briarwood Mall, but it might be super packed that weekend (with early Christmas shoppers). Fun outdoor playgrounds for that age include Mill Pond Park (in Saline), County Farm Park, Gallup Park (the playground near the canoe livery), or one of the many other smaller parks around town.
Cottage Inn Restaurant downtown serves a meal to the down-and-out, I don%26#39;t know if they also take in paying customers that day. I%26#39;ve never been out to eat for T-day in A2, so haven%26#39;t paid much attention...

You%26#39;ll need to double check about Thanksgiving day to make sure they are open, but don%26#39;t leave town without going to Zingerman%26#39;s Deli and maybe Zingerman%26#39;s Roadhouse.

Zingerman%26#39;s is a must and kid friendly. Of course there is also Grizzly Peak downtown.
You should know Ann Arbor has a ton of places to eat at. Most of the places downtown are higher price but very good. The best part the 35,000 or so students should be out of town for Thanksgiving break, which means getting a table is easier.
