Wineries open in Fall?

Hi, interested in planning a trip in the next few weeks, maybe even into early November. Maybe a silly question, but are the wineries open year round?

Thanks in advance!

Wineries open in Fall?

Yes... and it should be a beautiful time to visit the Old Mission %26amp; Leelanau Peninsulas.

Wineries open in Fall?

It is absolutely wonderful on the peninsula in October. We went up the last couple years and really enjoyed the crisp air and beautiful fall colors.

The wineries are all open and in full swing. The hours vary and most are closed by 5pm.

A couple years ago we stayed at the ';Cherry Tree Inn';. It is right on Grand Traverse Bay and is a great place to stay.

Just an FYI.... Enjoy!

I go to Old Mission for the wineries every year in October. It’s a beautiful time of year for that area but the wineries can also be very busy if you go on a weekend. The crowds don’t really bother me and we are always able to eventually get our tasting in but you may have fewer crowds in November or during the week in October. Have fun!

I just was at some of the Old Mission wineries on 10/04/08 and most were open till 6pm that day. They were also packed, we actually pulled into Chateau Grand Traverse and pulled back out because it was so busy and we did have to wait in line for a tasting at the others. Usually we go in September and they aren%26#39;t very busy. The colors weren%26#39;t prime yet but in a week or 2 they will be.

and more specifically the peninsulas

I%26#39;m sure they all give hours and events.

Hope you enjoy.

Thank you very much! I will look into everyone%26#39;s suggestions. We plan on heading up there this Friday.

Me too! If you see about 10 women laughing uncontrollably that would be us! LOL
