Hey guys, this is my first trip report so please bear with me. left home on a monday morning from ontario and drove straight to Gaylord. Took us about 6 hours in total. Of course there were a few pit stops along the way. From reading the info about which hotel to stay in and which to stay away from, we booked into the Holiday Inn Express. Quite happy with it I must stay. There was a fridge in the room that I certainly would have taken advantage of if we were staying more than one night. (Maybe in the summer when we drive down with my sister and her husband for a shopping/golfing holiday). No casino to visit at night though. hahahaha. Shopping spots were enough to keep me busy entertained. There were spots down the road and then right behind us. Like I said, really close by. Ate at Mancinos for supper. Love the grinders, mind you people were packing it into Ponderosa across the street. I really am not that fussy on food as long as it%26#39;s something to eat and fills my belly.
Next day we headed back to Sault Ste Marie to stay at the casino for two nights. Don%26#39;t really get there all that often so I like the location. Staying at the casino is convenient for us because I can go shop till I drop and my husband can stay at the hotel. He plays and then goes for a dip or in the hot tub. Weather could have been better though. Kind of cold and drizzly the whole darn time. Ate for the first time at Jeffs on Ashumun. I thought that the food was plentiful but greasy. Would go again mind you. Well, there is more that I can tell you but some of you would be bored. see yu next time.
