hotel for women

Can you recommend an inexpensive hotel/motel that would provide safe nights for women? We were thinking of Beachways Resort. Thanks.

A very cute, newly renovated motel is The Roxie. It is located on Blue Star Hwy. within close proximity of downtown Douglas and Saugatuck. www.roxihotel.com

thanks for your reply, need not be exclusive.

Just not being familiar with the area, don%26#39;t want to end up in a bad place. Using TA as a guide of course.

Thanks.

We just stayed at Hunter%26#39;s Lodge and really liked it. It%26#39;s very reasonable and felt safe. (You can go to my profile and read my review or look under specialty lodging in hotels.)

I think most hotels/motels in the area should be pretty safe. It%26#39;s a very nice town.

Beachway Resort is on the way to Oval Beach so I%26#39;ve passed it often. It looks like it might have been built in the 1940%26#39;s or 50%26#39;s. I%26#39;ve never been inside, so I can%26#39;t comment on it, but the area seems as safe as any in Saugatuck, which is an artsy resort town, so I think you%26#39;ll be just fine.

Deer Creek B%26amp;B and Cottages is another nice affordable option.

The Hampton Inn in South Haven, about 15 minutes south, often has good rates and has consistently good reviews. It%26#39;s located right off the interstate across from the Walmart and near several other chain hotels and restaurants so it%26#39;s not located in the most quaint area but the area seemed just fine otherwise.

I hope you have a great time!
