I will be in Ann Arbor in early January. Are there any tours that are run of Michigan Stadium etc?

at this site it says -

The stadium is open to the public for viewing weekdays between 8:30am and 3:30pm with access through Gate 9. On weeks with a home football game, the stadium will be open Monday-Wednesday only.

I know the stadium is getting extra box seats that are under construction and I am not sure if they will let people still look or not.

The above web site has some other good information about Ann Arbor and the U of M.

When I was a Boy Scout I use to be an usher at some of the games. That was fun.
