We are thinking of reserving a winter weekend for this event at Thunder Bay Resort. They have a sleigh ride thru the woods, elk viewing and a dinner in a cabin in the woods cooked on a woodstove. Only 2 reviews on this, and would like feedback from anyone who might have experienced this particular event. Thanks!
Thunder Bay Resort elk viewing, dinner, sleigh ride???We did this a few years ago (Xmas present from our kids). The sleigh ride was nice, they provide blankets, part of it was cutting across the golf course the rest in the woods. The meal was terrific and yes, cooked on old time wood burning stoves. The cabin was really neat.
The only elk we saw were the one%26#39;s they have on their farm. They raise them mainly for the antlers and try to get you to buy their powdered antler ';cure all'; during diner, we passed on that.
I don%26#39;t think we would do it again but would certainly recommend others do it at least once.
Thunder Bay Resort elk viewing, dinner, sleigh ride???Thank you so much for your reply, Bill! I didn%26#39;t think anyone was going to. We have considered doing this for years, so I think for a one time visit, it%26#39;d be worth it. I will also refuse their powdered antler cure-all. That is ridiculous. What did you think of the accomodations?
Can%26#39;t comment on the accomodations, we just did this as a day trip and didn%26#39;t spend the night.
