looking for a family fun resort in Michigan over Christmas

Will be heading to Great Wolf lodge over Christmas 2 days. I was looking for a resort that has a lot of family winter activities for around 5 days. Any recommendations would be wonderful!

You might consider Boyne Mountain ski resort, in Boyne Falls. They have Avalanche Bay indoor waterpark located in the resort. Pretty pricey, though. But you%26#39;d be in the middle of winter wonderland, hopefully. Lots of skiing choices, snowmobiling, skating, scenic drives and sledding hills. The larger towns of Charlevoix and Petoskey are close by, so you%26#39;d have dining, shopping, movies, etc.

Closer is Zehnder%26#39;s Bavarian Village and Waterpark, in Frankenmuth. Another waterpark, mostly geared towards smaller children. Shopping at Bronner%26#39;s Christmas Store, located right next door. Nice, cute little town. However, I am not sure there is a lot to do with kids during the winter, other than what I have already mentioned. Most likely, very little snow. If there is, there is sledding at the local Frankenmuth City Park on various hills.

Hopefully someone can respond from the Traverse City area. I think that is the best place to go, personally.

Tyme, great minds think alike, Boyne Mountain is the answer! There is so much to do at Boyne Mountain in the winter that you will never be bored. Skiing, skating, swimming (both indoor and outside), sledding, its a dream resort for those who love winter. (not to mention the great spa) Yes, its pricey but you may find some deals this year as the economy is so bad. Have a great time! Moms

Definitely Boyne.

Boyne would be my number one pick for sure, but a close second would be The Homestead in Glen Arbor...they have a nice little ski hill right on Lake Michigan with amazing views (much smaller ski hill than Boyne) ice skating, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, sledding, etc. The Homestead%26#39;s a great little family resort with several different accommodation options from hotel rooms to condos to full rental homes. They usually have great package deals online, check them out!
