I am going to South Haven with my husband and 4 year old twins in July for a week and am going to stay at either cannery row or parkshores. Can anyone tell me anything about either. I see that Cannery has gotten good reviews but the Park shore unit looks a lot nicer - newer, brighter, better furniture, and it also is apparently more ';family friendly'; - any feedback or advice is appreciated. Thanks! :)
Deciding between Cannery Row and Parkshores
unfortunately i%26#39;ve never stayed in either but they%26#39;re both on north shore drive...easy walk to the beach or town...although i%26#39;d through the kids in a stroller for town! cannery is closer to the beach by a hair...pretty much across the street from packard park that has some picnic benches and a nice stretch of beach and bathrooms for tots that might find the wait going across the street long...
cannery also has an outdoor pool that in the summer has lots of happy people in it...they%26#39;ve both been here as long as i%26#39;ve been comin to so haven so i can%26#39;t vouch for which is newer...
for either i love north shore deli also that is right across the street from cannery...as is the yelton manor gardens that are lovely in the summer!a beach supply place is also right there in case you need to rent or buy something...
sorry i don%26#39;t have specifics!
Deciding between Cannery Row and Parkshores
We stayed at Cannery Row last year and liked it. Across the street from the beach and the pool was really nice after being at the lake. Our unit and the furniture were nice. It also seemed family friendly, some of the owners appeared to have their grandchildren there. And I never felt the owners treated us like ';second class citizens'; as renters. It seems like I saw a unit at the Parkshore on the website for rent when we were making a decision, and it looked nice, too, but I don%26#39;t have anymore information.
