Ferry?

Which ferry used to have the large green tubs that took 35 minutes to cross? I would love to ride one of those, rather than the 15 minute cats. Are they still around?

Ferry?

The Arnold line used to have a slow boat, not sure if they still do.

Ferry?

Arnold does still have the classic ferry but only out of St. Ignace. I have no idea about the green part though. :o)

I%26#39;d say part green but mostly white. :) You are right that they run mostly out of St. Ignace (though they very occasionally from Mackinaw if the Cats are broken).

They also use them for the ';Vesper Cruise'; which is sort of a church service on the water. Depending on when you go, they have them either Sunday nights, or Sunday afternoon and Sunday night.

The old Arnold Ferries are white with green trim. The have at least one left which they use for freight, occasional dinner cruises and other special events. They only run it for regular ferry runs from St. Ignace before and after the regular season: http://www.mightymac.org/macwin03.JPG

At one time, they were using that boat for the Sunday evening Vesper Cruises out of Mackinaw City. You might contact them to see if that is still true. Those cruises are free, though there is a free will offering. tru.http://www.mackinawcity.com/vesper-cruise-102/

Opps, cross posted, lizzard84.

Hope to run into you up there some time.
