How is Frankenmuth in winter months? I have been wanting to go for some time but don%26#39;t know if this is the time. I%26#39;m from northeast Ohio, so freezing temps and several feet of snow is normal, but still not enjoyable.
Would you recommend waiting til springtime or summer months? How far apart are the shops and restarants? Thanks for any info anyone can offer.
Frankenmuth in winter months
My husband and I went last year in early-March, after wanting to go there forever to see Bronner%26#39;s. It was fantastic! Like a blizzard when we flew into Detroit/out of Detroit, but none in Saginaw and only 12 degrees when we arrived, but we are from CT so we, too, are used to cold temps. We stayed at the Drury Inn - perfect! We were able to walk the town with winter coats on, but it was really and not too bad. There was a nice little coffee shop where we warmed up and had great coffees. We drove to Bronner%26#39;s (loved it), went to Bavarian Inn, the whole tourist thing, and had no problems. It was pretty much off season and we had no lines for dining anywhere. Drury Inn had a little ';happy hour'; every night, which was really nice, too. We had no problems at all and are actually trying to figure out some cheap flights right now to go back this year in March again.
Frankenmuth in winter months
Yes, a very nice little town to visit any season, but there is more to do in the summer, it just depends on what you want to do. There are many more festivals in warmer months, also. But if you just want to shop, stroll, eat and go to Bronner%26#39;s, then by all means, come now!
