Landmark Inn - good choice?

Hi, all. My husband and I are planning a trip to the Marquette area for the long Valentine%26#39;s Day weekend and are thinking about staying at the Landmark Inn. However, I%26#39;ve read some ';so-so'; reviews of it. Have any of you stayed there? If it%26#39;s not a good choice, do you have suggestions of other places to stay? I%26#39;ve read that the restaurant in the Landmark is not good. Suggestions? Thanks.

Landmark Inn - good choice?

The Landmark is an excellent choice...in fact my fiance and I are spending Valentines there as well following a dinner dance event in Mqt.

We have stayed there several times and never have been disappointed.

It%26#39;s an older hotel that has been completely renovated and beutifully done. Most of the rooms are themed room so they each have their own charcter.

I can%26#39;t comment on the main Landmark restaurant ';Capers'; because I haven%26#39;t eaten there but I did have dinner in the Landmark Pub last night and it was fine..usual pub food.

If you are looking for a speical dibing experience in Marquette try Elizabeth%26#39;s Chophouse. It is justa short walk doen Front St. from the Landmark.

If you are still looking for something less pricey but still nice the Vierling is a couple doors down from the Landmark and also very good.

Make sure you have a drink in the upstairs bar at the Landmark...great views of Marquette and the Lake.

If you need any other info please fell free to PM me.
