Cheapest Parking for Metro Airport - Any Coupons?

It%26#39;s been a while since I%26#39;ve flown out of Detroit Metro Airport and I was wondering what the best rates for 4-5 days are for either an onsite spot or at one of the offsite lots.

Can someone give me a read on this? Which is the cheapest and where is it, now?

Also, where can I get a coupon, if that%26#39;s the best way to go?

$9 a day is the going coupon rate for the offsite lots and probably the cheapest. You can find coupons online, in the paper, Valu-pak mailers, etc. I normally use Airlines Parking on Merriman. US Park (Middlebelt) will accept any business card for the $9 ';corporate'; rate. Quik Park is another on Merriman. All will pick you up at your car and shuttle you to the door of the terminal. Google any of them to find online coupons.

The McNamara deck is convenient if you are flying NW, Continental or Delta - but insane at $19 a day. The big blue deck might work if you are flying out of the North terminal, but still more expensive I believe.

In addition to higher cost, I find that finding a parking place in the decks and then having to lug my bag through the structure often adds a lot more time and inconvenience than just going to US Park or one of the other off-site lots.

For those reasons, I use US Park almost exclusively now. They tell you where to park, give you a locator slip so that you don%26#39;t forget where your vehicle was left, pick you up and drop you off at your vehicle, and have convenient luggage racks in the mini-bus. All that and it is cheaper as well.

The last several times flying out of Metro we have used Airlines on Merriman...

They are fairly convenient and shuttle service has been good, with courteous drivers.

I think we paid $7/day with ValuPak coupon...(I could be off a little on that but not much I don%26#39;t think)

Go to the US Park and Ride website. You can print off a coupon good for one day free and $9 each other day.

I just got a room and 10 days of parking at the westin for 129 bucks.
