Day in Grand Rapids

I wanted to thank everyone for their suggestions.

We ate at the Cherie Inn. This is a nice place definitely not chain-like. We got right in at about 10:30 but by the time we were leaving around noon, it was getting crowded people were waiting. They have a carafe of water on the table waiting for you. I got the hazelnut coffee which was really good and I got one of three specials that day, eggs benedict but with a cornmeal muffin on the bottom. My friend got an omlet. The service was a little sketchy we had to ask for coffee as they didn%26#39;t come around but we had a good breakast.

Next we went to the Gerald Ford Museum and went to his gravesite. I think they did a really good job very interesting.

Off to the movies, thanks for the advice on which one was closest and cried our eyes out over Marley and Me.

Dinner next at Vitale%26#39;s on Leonard the original one, I read this on one of the posts. Great Birthday day.

Day in Grand Rapids

Glad you had a nice birthday!

I also enjoyed the Gerald Ford Museum and thought they did a very good job (meaning, not boring..) with displays and such. If you go in summer, you ought to try the zoo, it is a nice sized zoo with a good mix of animals (large, small..)and can easily be done in a couple hours, even taking you time.
