Are there any hotels in downtown Ann Arbor or that are walking distance to bars %26amp; restaurants?
Thanks for any info....
Help Please- hotel close to downtown?
Downtown hotel options, both pretty pricey:
Belltower Hotel

Campus Inn

Bed %26amp; Breakfast options:

For some reason, the Cadgwith Too Bed %26amp; Breakfast, http://www.cadgwithtoo.com/ shows up in the wrong spot, but it%26#39;s another choice.
Of the B%26amp;Bs listed, the ones that are probably too far away to be considered walkable to downtown are:
Casa del Sol, Claire%26#39;s Guest House, Davies Guest House
Also, if you don%26#39;t find what you%26#39;re looking for in those options, you can always stay a bit further out. With a combination of public transportation and taxis, and maybe a hotel shuttle, you could get around okay, though it might be a little less convenient. There are also restaurant options away from downtown. As an example, from Weber%26#39;s Inn on the west side, I can think of roughly 14 restaurants (some better than others, and some with bars) within walking distance, plus two liquor stores and at least two grocery stores that sell beer, wine, and prepared foods.

Perfect..thanks so much, just made a reservation at the Campus Inn! Care to share your favorite restaurants in the downtown area for spcial night out? It has been a number of years since we have visited, hope some of our old favorites are still around!
I don%26#39;t do much special night out dining, but I%26#39;ve heard good things about and want to try Vinology.
My husband and I did enjoy the Earle when we went there, and Palio is nice, not quite as formal, but nice.
Eve is supposed to be very nice, though I haven%26#39;t tried it. It%26#39;s in Kerrytown, quite close to your hotel. Argiero%26#39;s is another Italian spot near there, much more casual, but I like the food.
And if you%26#39;re not familiar with Zingerman%26#39;s Deli, it%26#39;s close to the hotel. I highly, highly recommend sandwiches there for lunch.
I%26#39;m sure there are others here who can help with more options.
Our favorite restaurant, although pricey is West End Grill (Liberty). We also like Eve (the best mussels in town) which is located in Kerrytown and little bit away from all of the bars but certainly walkable. Gratzi for Italian (Main Street) or Vinology (Main Street) which is a wine bar with locally grown food served.
';favorite restaurants in the downtown area for spcial night out';..that means the Chop House on Main Street. Great, Great, Great steaks. Steaks start around $50 and everything is extra. We don%26#39;t drink much so two of us can get dine at the Chop House for about $150. Service is top notch.
The only problem with the Chop House is that it takes us forever to decide what we want to order. Everything is great. Last time there they had a 20oz lobster tail that we debated over for a long time.
Another hotel option is the Inn at the Michigan League. I work across the street from the League and we used it several times when we hosted academic conferences. The League is not a modern hotel, but it has a historic charm and a good location.
I would second recommendations for Eve and the Chophouse. Both are very expensive but worth the money. Other good restaurant options include Pacific Rim and Grizzly Peak (a local microbrew with good burgers and cheddar ale soup).

Gratzi, Chop House, or Real Seafood definitely, unless you%26#39;re hoping for ethnic food. All on the same block of Main Street, I think all owned by the same company.
You get the least for your money at Chop House ($50-60/head) but a lot of people really like it (not me). Gratzi and Real Seafood are more like $20-30 and just as good with better variety. Go to Chop House if you want steak.
