Hotels with indoor water parks....

My husband and I are going to try to take a day trip to a hotel with an indoor water park. We know about Splash Village and Great Wolf, however, we don%26#39;t really even need something that extravagant (unless the price is right). Somewhere with a water slide, pool, hot tub would be just fine. Any ideas within a couple hours or less from the metro-Detroit area???

Thanks!

I can%26#39;t vouch for quality since I haven%26#39;t stayed there, but I know the Best Western in Sterling Heights has an indoor water park, plus there%26#39;s Wheels Inn in Windsor(?) or close by and I think they have one too.

The only places I%26#39;ve heard of with a water slide are the ones you mentioned. My CWs have taken their kids there and they said the prices are actually pretty reasonable and their kids love it.

The city of Warren has a water park in their community center. I don%26#39;t recall the rates, but it can%26#39;t be too expensive for a day. I don%26#39;t believe it has a hot tub, but does have a slide, lap pool and lazy river. It is on Arden (between 13 %26amp; 14 mile) between Mound and Ryan.

TA won%26#39;t let me post the full link because it is too long, so remove the '; XXXX '; above and paste it into your browser.

Thanks for the replies... Turns out that Splash Village offered a great rate, so we are heading there for an all day trip next week for a much needed getaway. It%26#39;ll be nice to at least pretend to be somewhere warm for the day. :)

Thanks for the heads up on the Warren park, we%26#39;ll have to take our 16 month old there soon and see how she likes it.

Thanks so much!

For future reference, the new Holiday Inn in Toledo/Maumee has a wonderful indoor waterpark. We stayed there in May and they were offering fantastic rates. The rooms were beautiful. Moms

I think you will be very happy with your choice. Your getting away but not a long long ride with kids. Splash village fits your description. Frankenmuth is a lovely town to visit anyway and very family friendly. Enjoy. Will look forward to your trip report!

Just found this site for the next person that might be looking

Glad to hear you are staying at Splash Village, it is a nice place. Hope you got a good deal! Enjoy your weekend!

We had a wonderful overnight stay at ';Splash Village';. They allowed us to check in early and we didn%26#39;t waste any time getting to the water park. On first impression, our 16 month old cried. I think she was a little bit overwhelmed when her toes first touched the water, but she quickly got over her fear and enjoyed herself. We went to the park for a combined total of 4 hours and had a great time on our much needed overnight getaway!

Oh, so glad to hear about your nice, short visit to Frankenmuth and Splash Village. It always does wonders getting away, even for a night. Bet the baby ended up loving the water once she became accustomed to it. Come again someday.
