I found out the St. Ignace car show is coming to town the same weekend we are going. We were originally planning to stay in St. Ignace but b/c I read that 100,000 people come to that car show, I moved our plans to Mackinaw City.
My plans are set in stone now, but i%26#39;m curious if this car show does cause a lot of crowds in Mackinaw City or the island? Should I be prepared for a whole load of visitors? Or what? Just curious.
Does the crowd from the St Ignace Car show
I think some local boosters have _really_ inflated the atendence figures for that event.

There are probably a few more people than usual, but its not the end of the world. Probably more like what%26#39;d you experience on the 4th of July than Disneyland during Spring Break.
Plus the car show draws in a lot of locals from the surrounding areas, so those people don%26#39;t usually go to the Island.
Thanks for the info! I was questioning the number of 100k ppl because I didn%26#39;t find much info about the event online (only a few sites) and I thought that if it was that large of an event, there would be more websites talking about it!
I%26#39;m glad to hear it shouldn%26#39;t affect us, but still glad I choose Mackinaw City over St. Ignace bc it seems to have more hotel options and more to-do!
Thanks for the info!!
