Hello Silverteen,

Welcome to the Michigan Forum.

If you could tell us what things you like to do, it would help to narrow down the places we would recommend to you.

Are you looking for a more quiet place to stop since you would have been in Toronto a busy city and going to another busy city Chicago? Are you looking for another busy city?

Do you like to shop, site see, hike?

Just give us some information about you and if your traveling as a group and what age thing you would like to know about.

Also, what time of the year do you think you will be in Michigan?

Hello Silverteen, again,

You mention the bus. Are you traveling on a certain bus line? Does the place you decide to stay at have to have a bus stop?

Detroit would be an obvious place, and I can%26#39;t think of any other options really. Try Dearborn and visit the Henry Ford Museum and/or Greenfield Village. Both are full day adventures, though, so you%26#39;d have to pick one or the other. There is also a good zoo in Detroit, as well as an art museum.

Okay, you didn%26#39;t say what time of the year, and that makes a HUGE difference in Michigan! But that said... here%26#39;s my top suggestions:

My pick would be to stop in New Buffalo or St. Joseph. These are both quenstiential beach towns, a lot of fun, cute shopping, good food, etc. They are closer to Chicago, but most definitely worth the stop. There are several cute hotels that you would enjoy! If you decide to go that direction, let me know, I%26#39;ve got some great suggestions.

Another option is to go to Ann Arbor, if you like urban cities, spend a day shopping, exploring the city, etc. If you time it right you could be there during the Art Festival, which is definitely worth it!

Also, if you are into plays and the theater, you might want to stop in Stratford, which is still in Canada, it has a FABULOUS festival throughout the summer, and you could easily spend at least a day there.

I could suggest several other destinations, but as it sounds like you will be on a bus, these might be your best bets without a car. Also, have you thought about checking into the train instead of the bus. The train between Chicago and Toronto is actually very enjoyable, and the last time we rode it it was very reliable!

Hi ho Silver......Sorry I couldn%26#39;t help myself.

The place to stop is Cleveland. Hit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Cleveland is a gem.

If you time it right you could catch an Indians game or even get over to Sandusky for some roller coaster mania.

have a blast - sounds like a cool trip.
